Spring Rally 2006

Alrighty! The Spring Rally was very fun but it went by very fast! All the churches from around the state and some from Arizona came. On Thursday we kicked off with Pastor Gould, then on Friday morning there were two morning sessions with Pastor Patterson and Pastor Bland. Then that night was Pastor Jones to finish it up. After service that night we had an after service youth night which was very fun! We played dodgeball!!!! It seems to be a very popular game in our youth these days! i like it but the guys get a little bit too competitive...everyone had to repent after the game...lol...j/k...it was very fun! Then saturday i got up - which was a miracle of God since i didn't get to bed until 2am! And me and my mom went to the mall - on a saturday!!! - bless the Lord for my mother cuz that mall was crazy! But it was all worth it cuz i finally found the PERFECT dress! THANK YOU MOM! I will put a pic of it on my blog after the spring formal is over cuz i still have to go get the dress fitted. so i am happy that is over with! well that is about all to tell so i will probly have more to update about after the weekend of course...o yeah and guess what....today i got my tooth pulled!!! it hurt pretty bad! the appointment was at 8 am and so i went to the dentist but first i got off on the wrong exit and had to turn around which took FOREVER! then i got there and they gave me a shot of novacaine to numb my mouth...i was most scared about the shot but it wasn't too bad...not as bad as getting the tooth pulled! So they let me sit there for about 20 minutes and it's a terrible feeling to be numb in your mouth! i felt like i was gonna swallow my tongue!!! LOL but luckily i didn't! So then they came back in and started pulling it but it wasn't coming out! The lady told me that since it was a baby tooth that it would come out easy and be like a 2 minute process...she was wrong! it took more like 15 minutes!!! While they were pulling that ONE tooth it felt like they were ripping my whole jaw out!!! so then he finally got it out and i put the gauze in my mouth and the lady saved the tooth for me in this cute little treasure chest..lol...and then i went home and layed down for a minute. When i changed the gauze(beware this part is nasty so if you don't wanna be grossed out don't read on...lol) when i was taking the gauze out i drooled everywhere!!! because my mouth was numb! it was gross! and i had to change the gauze like 10 times! Finally the medication wore off at about 1:00 or so...so i got to eat some raviolis!!! i hadn't eaten anything all day so i was grubbin on them raviolis!!! But yup that was my day! GOD IS GREAT AND HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER!

Hey everyone! Happy late easter! hope you all had an awesome time! Sunday morning we had an AWESOME AND I MEAN AWESOME service!!! It was the best easter service I have ever been in! The choir had about 6 or 7 video testimonies and between each of them someone would sing a verse from Amazing Grace! It was very powerful...I was cryin my eyes out! God is so amazing how he takes a life and transforms it!!! I am sooo thankful that he died on the cross for me!!! After the choir did a GREAT job singing Pastor Jones preached an AWESOME message on Dangerous Prayers! It was really good and touched many lives! We had about 1700 people in service and we didn't have enough room in the sanctuary so they set up chairs in the hall!!! Then after service me and my family went over to the Cradock's house with the Collins' and had some yummy food.......ribs and collard greens and pie just to name a few of the itmes on the menu!!! yum yum! Me and kristin left early cuz she had to help out with the children's play that night. So that night the kids did a great play called "The Three Trees". After service we all went over to the park and played some basketball and played on the playground equipment! :) It was fun stuff! That has pretty much been my weekend...o wait...on friday we went and saw Take the Lead which was very good! waaayyy better than benchwarmers! but me, chantel, jenna, and daycee snuck mcdonald's in to the theatre and the security guard caught me and chantel so we had to go eat it real quick outside...if u ever were wondering y u can't eat outside food in the movie theatre let me explain it to ya (while we were eating the security guard explained it) It's cuz if we get sick we could sue the movie theatre even though it's mcdonald's food. but ne ways that has been my weekend. sorry i don't have ne pics. i will have some next week cuz of SPRING RALLY! And i just found out tonight we r gonna do dogeball again friday night after svc!!! so that should be fun! thank you all for reading my blog!

o wait i do have some pics i forgot about...the one with the guys is jerome, marcus and marquis. they all had green shirts for easter (and they didn't even plan it...lol) and the other pic is of me, chantel, and jenna with our hard planned easter outfits! i wanna give a shout out..lol...to chantel and jenna for tryin to find a skirt...they just couldn't find one...maybe next year i'll get them in a skirt! :)

Band Wars! Sorry...I'm not good at coming up with creative titles!

Hey everyone! Sorry I'm slackin on the bloggin! lol Well I will update about last youth service. It was really GREAT!!! We had a lot of people put their musical skills to the test and in the end gabby pacheco took home the prize! GO GABBY! WE LOVE YOU! We also had a lot of visitor's...which is very cool! so youth has been going very well!!! Ummm well let's c here i g2g here in a minute so I will leave on the note that I saw benchwarmer's last friday and i didn't like it. It was pretty nasty but Last night we all went and saw Take the Lead which was very good! I would recommend it! well i g2g so i will try to update again soon!

Plantin a Garden!

Yes! The rumors are true! Kristin has begun to plant her garden! She has been asking my dad if she could plant one for the last year and so i guess he finally gave in. Because yesterday I walked upstairs and saw the above (the pictures) Don't ask me about the egg carton's cuz I have no idea why she is planting stuff in them?!?! But let me give you the list of what she is growing...cucumbers, carrots, peas, and tomatoes. yum yum! but I won't be enjoying any of it cuz she told me I wasn't allowed to eat any of it cuz i made fun of her...lol...but all's good...her carrot is growing so i will keep u updated on the progress. She can't put any of it in the ground for 77 days cuz i guess that's how long it takes to grow them...i dunno...for further info you'll have to talk to her. thanks for readin!

SPRING BREAK 2006!!!!

Spring Break is over!!! :( even though my life is kinda like an ongoing spring break as my mom would say...lol....but me, jenna, and chantel had a lot of fun this past week! i didn't get pics of ne thing until the weekend so i'm sorry about that. but if i did bring my camera you would probly just be looking at movie theatre after movie theatre...i think we should get an award for how many movies we saw this week! first we saw nanny mcphee on monday then we saw End of the Spear on wednesday after church, then thursday we went over to chantel's house and watched king kong!!! which is an AWESOME movie!!! it's pretty scary though! then friday after breakaway a bunch of us went and saw ice age 2:the melt down. It was pretty funny! I tried to get a picture of everyone afterwards but it was so late that no one wanted to take one...lol...so our spring break pretty much consisted of hanging out at the movies! then on saturday was outreach of course! we went to the meadows mobile park home and passed out flyers for our youth service that night with pastor darin! then after outreach we all went to jada's baby shower at the Y...which was very very fun! the whole family was invited so there were all sorts of people there which was fun! we got to play spades so i was happy! :) jenna and pastor alex beat me and ej...but it was only because i switched partners 3 times!!! so it threw me off! but we'll have a rematch soon! so then we went to youth service and had an awesome time with pastor darin! then after youth we all went out to mcdonald's. then i went home and went to bed pretty quick cuz it was the dreaded daylight savings time thing so we lost an hour of sleep...so some people were showing up to church an hour late...but we won't mention any names....jerome...cough cough....lol...after service i went over to chantel's and mrs. cherise cooked THE BOMB lunch!!!! i mean it was SOOO good that i got seconds!!!! :) we ate her SPECTACULAR cooking while we watched (yes...yet again we are watching another movie...lol) HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL!!! i love that movie! then we went back to church and had a baptisimal service and an after service fellowship...then some of us went to play basketball and some of us (like me and jenna) cheered and refereed! we called some fouls on some guys and tried to call a few time outs but no one really payed attention to us...lol...poor chantel was wearing flip flops so her toes were freezing!!!! it was pretty cold out...but it was all fun! so i guess that pretty much ends the weekend..so stay tuned for the next post!

o yea i got to explain a couple of these pictures...the one with jenna and the kid in it...if u don't know who the kid is don't feel bad cuz neither do we...we were on our way to ice age 2 but chantel had to get gas so we were wating for her so i old jenna to go by the tree and take a picture. and then these 2 kids were by the pay phone so i asked them if they wanted to be in the picture just to make it interesting...not that jenna isn't interesting on her own...lol...but just to do somethin different so he said sure and we took the picture...o and the one with pastor marshall and all the guys was cuz they were all standing there talking and we started laughing cuz they were all a bunch of bald guys talking so we took a picture. thomas was in the first picture but it didn't turn out so i had to use this one. sorry thomas :( ok well that pretty much explains everything so...until next time...adios!
