Here is my latest update...I got my hair dyed!!! The expertise Kendra did a wonderful job! We kinda got scared halfway through and i almost started hyperventelating because the color was running out! But all is well! Hope everything is going well with everyone else. i will update again about our first church service soon.

I Hate Making Up Titles...lol

Alright here is a quick update on what has been going on around here the past few days....Saturday we went to a private club place and went swimming and watched some soccer and stuff. We went down this trail and saw a ton of bugs!! And then we walked through this little zoo they had and i saw the biggest spider i have ever seen in my life! it was as big as my hand and it looked like a turtle...it was gross! Then that night we went to hear carlos preach at his church...he did really good! Then we went around town and looked at all the prostitutes and transvestites....which was interesting....these guys looked soooo much like women....it was disgusting.

Sunday we went to church which was fun and different...everyone was very nice and came and started talking in spanish to you and you kinda just have to smile and hope they don't think you're rude...Pastor Blake preached but if you asked me what he preached on i could only tell you that he said a lot about the Holy Spirit. :) After service we went home and i slept for like 3 hours because i wasn't feeling good...i have a cold. Then we went to service that night and kendra and daniel played for offering.....kendra played piano and daniel played drums...they did awesome! They also played for the baptisimal they had that night. About 6 people got baptized! After service Me, Raychel and Mario took 11 people from the church home!!! In his toyota four runner!! It was very interesting! I think we broke a world record...lol

Today we got up and the Santistevan's, Pastor Blake, and all of us went to th DMV i guess of Costa Rica so everyone could get their costa rican licenses. We were so bored that we started playing cards in the lobby..i just have to add in that i won and then i also took over for daniel and won again!!! So i got 1st and 2nd! The lines were really long so all the girls and landon went to terra mall and shopped for a few hours and then we went and saw glory road at the VIP theatre...they have these chairs that recline and are really really comfortable! It was a lot of fun!

So that has been the last few days....We start orientation for school on wednesday so keep us in your prayers!

I Made It!!!!

Alrighty I apologize for not writing sooner but there has been no time!!! I am soooo overjoyed and extatic (notice the use of these big words) to be here in Costa Rica! It took longer to get here then we expected but finally we made it!

Our flight was originally suppossed to take off at 1:30 from COS but was delayed! So we didn't take off until about 2:45!!! :( So we missed our connection in Houston! So they had to book all of us new tickets for the next day! It was definitley an adventure but a very fun and exciting one! We got to Houston and they were gonna only give us two hotels but we ended up getting three! So we got out of the airport and as soon as we stepped out the air hit you and I felt like I was in a sauna! It wasn't the most pleasant thing in the world but we made it! So we sat there waiting for the shuttle to our hotel for like 30 minutes and then we found out the guy told us the wrong name of the hotel so we missed the shuttle. So we called a cab and all 6 of us piled in and headed off to the hotel. When we got to the hotel we got our rooms and then headed off to the hotel restaurant for some much needed food! The people in Houston were rude and we didnt know when we would meet someone with some niceness in them. After dinner we headed back to the room and watched tv and fell asleep...in the same clothes from that day i might add. Our plane was scheduled to leave at 9:20 the next moring and the shuttle came at 7 so we got up at 6:30. We got up brushed our teeth with these toothbrushes we had bought the night before and headed downstairs IN THE SAME CLOTHES FROM THE DAY BEFORE! It was rough but we managed! So we watied quite a while for the shuttle then we headed to the airport and got checked in and everything and had some breakfast! YUMMM! Me and Kendra also had our last Starbucks of the year which was yummy! But they actually have very good coffee down here! I don't even drink coffee and i think i'm addicted! :) So we boarded the plane and headed for San Jose, Costa Rica! It took about 3 hours and we were there! The view out of the window is amazing! It really does take your breath away! Everything is so green and there are mountains everywhere! BEAUTIFUL! So we got off the plane and got our luggage with no problems!!! Thank the Lord since they had to stay overnight at the airport! Then we went through customs which was the only thing i was really nervous about but we had no lines to wait in and no problemos!!!! So that was exciting!!! Then we turned the corner and saw Mario, DeAnza, and the kids and P. Blake all waiting for us! So we loaded up all 12 pieces of luggage and headed for Rod and Carmen's house! We unloaded all of their things and went to eat! Keep in mind that none of us had taken a shower for 24 hours so it was hard choosing whether to take a shower or eat..lol...But all is well! So that was my experience traveling here! Thank God for the Santistevan's!! I couldn't have done it without them! Yesterday we had a party for Mario's birthday which was fun...we had a pinata! The people in the pictures with us are Mario and Dee's friends...they are sooo fun to be around!! Carlos, Gloria, and Caleb....i have only known them for a day or two and i love them already! Mrs. Gloria knows english and she is very good at helping us with our spanish! Today i think we are gonna get a dresser for me and raychel's room. So i better get goin cuz we kinda got a late start today! I love you all and am excited for what God is doing already!

Costa Rica here I Come!!!

Hello Hello....ok well I am leaving to costa rica on august 21!!! two weeks away! and i need a way of putting up pictures and updates so i am going to use my blog and i WILL be updating while i'm in costa rica! you can hold me to it! so i love evry1 and will miss u all sooo very much you have no idea! i love u guys and appreciate evry1 of you!
